FAQs
Porter's Fencing
How long will my fence installation take once the crew arrives?
Most residential fence installations can be completed in 1–3 days, depending on the size of your yard, the materials used, and weather conditions. Larger or more complex projects (such as custom gates or multi-material fences) may take a little longer, but we’ll give you a clear timeline before work begins.
What should I do to prepare my property before installation?
We recommend clearing the fence line of any obstacles like outdoor furniture, toys, or yard debris. If you have pets, arrange for them to be safely inside or in a separate area during installation. Our team will handle marking utilities and verifying property lines before starting.
Will weather delay my fence installation?
Light rain typically won’t affect our schedule, but heavy rain, thunderstorms, or frozen ground can cause delays for safety and quality reasons. If weather impacts your scheduled date, we’ll contact you right away to reschedule at the earliest available time.
Do I need to be home during installation?
You don’t have to be home for the entire process, but we do recommend being available at the start to confirm layout and gate placement with the crew leader. After that, we can complete the job and notify you when it’s finished.
How do you handle cleanup after the job is done?
We take pride in leaving your property clean and safe. Our team will remove excess materials, haul away old fencing (if applicable), and do a final walkthrough to ensure the site is tidy before we leave.
When is payment due, and what financing options do you offer?
Payment is typically due upon completion of the project. We also offer flexible financing options — including $0 down and low monthly payment plans — to make your fencing project affordable and stress-free.
